Muench Prints II
November 15-16, 2008
Due to the response we've gotten for our first Print Workshop, we are offering it again!
Goleta, CA

This two-day intensive workshop will show you that printing color is not smoke and mirrors!
When this weekend is over, you should be able to walk into any lab
in the world, un-calibrated monitors and all, and make a fine art
print.
There are many industrial strength instruments capable of
creating the theoretically perfect color balanced workflow in this
day and age. However, what needs to be understood prior to making
the final refining touches with such instrumentation is what
really happens when the ink meets the paper.

This weekend course will cover subjects including:
color by
numbers
proper monitor calibration
evaluation of different paper
types
when to use a UV coating laminate
or display glass
how to make your own
gallery wrapped canvas
We will have the opportunity to print on a
minimum of four different types of media, ranging from semi gloss
to the new LexJet Sunset Fibre Elite (PDF link) media designed to resemble
classic wet process darkroom paper.
