"Wild Utah was an ideal combination of crash course education, scenic vacation, social retreat and comedy hour. It is amazing what the people at Muench Workshops can do in 5 short days. Perfectly orchestrated, our trip taught me more than I knew about photography than I had taught myself in 4 years. I will never look at light the same way again. "

"In the end the cost of the workshop was more beneficial than any money I spent on any of the equipment. I have never got the kind of benefit that I got from the workshop from any item I've purchased. Anyone out there who are wavering on going to a workshop DO IT!!! You'll get more out of one weekend than you will in a year of shooting, and you'll definetly get more out of a workshop than another perfect {insert name of lens or newest camera here}."

"The San Rafael Swell was probably my favorite place. The scenery is comparable to Capitol Reef or Canyonlands. The really great thing about it is that it isn't a national park. Places like Zion, though quite stunning, have been processed and packaged to make it safe for busloads of tour groups. The San Rafael Swell still has the rough edges of the American Outback. To enjoy the swell you have to put some effort into it. I think the San Rafael Swell would completely lose its character if it were made into a national park.

We drove along rough dirt roads for a few hours till we got to our dinner site. Gary and Murphy got dinner going while we went out to shoot. The light had improved considerably by then and we got some good photos....

I went to the workshop to learn about landscapes. I actually learned how to be a better photographer.

A big thanks to Marc, Andy and David for organizing a great workshop. And thanks also to all the participants for sharing your knowledge and generally making it a fun time."

"What a great experience, great folks, great scenery, and great pros!! Marc and Andy are the best photo guides ever!!"

"Wild Utah! What an experience. Everyone attending as well as Marc and Andy were so willing to share and help. The instruction was useful and never rushed. Marc was very approachable to ask questions, give critique and most willing to help any participant to better their experience. Andy was always willing to share tips, answer questions and was most enjoyable to work/shoot with. David made sure that all the technical details were taken care of.

From the moment that we arrived at the meeting site we were taken care of. The guides that took us out were knowledgeable and friendly. The workshop was an experience that I am so glad that I made a commitment to myself to attend. It has refreshed my photographic juices and now taken me to the next level. The small size of the workshop was nice in that there weren't too many people to compete with for time with the pros. I would recommend a workshop experience to anyone that can commit to the time and are willing to allow themselves to grow in their knowledge and confidence."

"An excellent experience. A fabulous location, well researched in advance of our week of photography, with a wealth of photo ops lined up for us to enjoy and benefit from. Plenty of opportunity to learn from Marc and Andy, as well as benefiting from the experience and support of the rest of the group. Time "in the field" was balanced well with photo critiques and more formal learning opportunity. Organization was excellent, learning potential was enormous in an exquisite setting; I found that my existing skill set could be put to a much more creative use, and I was also shown how to approach my areas of weakness in a very constructive way. Altogether a very positive experience, and if anyone is as nervous as I was about booking one of these workshops - just do it! The only negative was that there just wasn't enough time, but that's OK. I've booked for the next one!"

Muench Workshop's Scotland escapade was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. With the unique, remote location, all-expenses paid care and full-spectrum personal instruction from the pros, I would recommend these workshops to any serious photographer who loves to travel, learn and have a great time. Marc's approachable style combined with patience and good humor makes the education absolutely painless and the unpredictable Scottish weather tested the flexibility of our schedules. Our group consisted of photographers of all levels and we all learned something new that week. Moreover, Marc and Andy have been mentors in various stages of my progression and I have always come away with a wealth of fresh knowledge. I am confident that any open-minded photographer from any background who attends a workshop with these pros will not be disappointed.

This was an absolutely amazing workshop. The location was stunning, and we had great guides to take us around the island to visit some beautiful landmarks on the island. But even better than this were the pros and other photographers who were all willing to give of their time to share tips and tricks out in the field and back at the computer for processing. What I learned from watching and asking questions of Marc and Andy, who are both very friendly and down to earth, as well as the rest of the group is immeasurable, and the photos I returned with reflect their guidance. I never anticipated to have so much FUN just gabbing with the other photographers on the workshop, and it was great to experience such a wide variety of approaches to landscapes. Great people. Amazing location. Awesome teachings. I can't wait to experience another workshop!
