Fall is a fantastic time in Santa Barbara! The air is clear, the weather is cool, the sea is calm and the sun rises and sets over the Pacific Ocean, making this an ideal location to shoot all day long. Enjoy everything this beautiful location has to offer with this two-part workshop:

From pre-visualization to post-processing, you'll have an opportunity to launch all aspects of your workflow to a new level.
Part One:
Shoot Santa Barbara




The first two days of this workshop will focus specifically on composition. Because Marc has spent his life in Santa Barbara there is no better location to discuss one of the most important aspects of photography then in this target rich environment. Because composition requires so many different disciplines, Marc and Andy will be working with everyone in the field about the following topics: 
pre-visualizing your work
creating depth and scaleutilizing different aspect ratios, 2x3, 2x4, panoramic etc. etc.

Part One:

Wide angle lens (based on a full frame sensor, this would be 24mm, but any equivalent sensor/lens combo will do)
Long lens - 200mm is plenty, 300 or light 400 is optional
Extra media cards
Extra Camera batteries
Zip lock bags come in handy for stuff during the rain or sandy 
conditions.

What to bring:Print Workshop


Each participant should bring a minimum of 5 RAW files. (If you shoot film, you could bring scanned TIFF files that are at least 60megs each). If you feel adventurous bring more, but remember that we will not have much time for editing through many images. Our goal is to master at least one file for printing large.

Laptop with Photoshop CS4. If you don't own it, download the demo shortly before coming to the workshop.

Everyone will have the opportunity to make multiple Muench Certified Prints up to 40 inches. We will ship your prints to you. Printing and shipping are included in the cost of the Workshop.

Matting and framing are extra, as is the shipping for framed prints.
