Santa Barbara Spring Fling!
April 17-19, 2009
$750
Pro Photographer:
Marc Muench
Santa Barbara -- There's nothing quite like it! The unique combination of coastlines, stunning mountains and Mediterranean climate make this a great destination and in the spring it's bursting with flowers. We'll be enjoying the full range of what Santa Barbara has to offer, from the land to the sea and everything in-between.
This beautiful city is home turf for your host and pro photographer, Marc Muench. He'll be sharing a lifetime of experience in Santa Barbara and provide you with an insider's tour of the treasures of the area.
Limited to 10 participants, this Workshop offers a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of landscape photography. Marc's casual style makes learning fun and will leave you with a new appreciation of photography and the beauty of the landscape.
We'll be going from sunrise beaches to the rose garden of Santa Barbara Mission and finally La Cumbre Mountain for sunset. This is the time of year when the California state flower is in full bloom and fields of poppies are only a short drive over the mountains into Santa Ynez Valley -- where we might stop for wine tasting at the local vineyards!
Due to popular demand we present this "Weekend Warrior" workshop, an opportunity that is shorter and easier for you to accommodate into your busy schedule.
This workshop includes dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday and transportation during workshop hours.
Lodging is up to you and you'll need to get yourself to our meeting point each morning. Muench Photography's studio is located at
142 Santa Felicia Drive in Goleta, close to Santa Barbara Airport. Once you're there, we'll all travel together to our destinations each day.
After a lifetime in beautiful Santa Barbara, Marc has a long list of favorite shooting locations and he'll be sharing as many as possible with you during these two days. This opportunity coupled with his generous expertise in digital photography makes this an event not to be missed.
Marc will be teach us how to build successful compositions, specifically how to use natural elements in our images to create depth and scale. As a print specialist he will also be helping you create exposures that will look gorgeous on display.
